After Action Report (AAR) Monthly Shoot’n’Que Burro Canyon – Saturday, 07/26 – Azusa
Saturday was a beautiful, hot day at Burro Canyon. Approximately 45 people attended. I suspect that the reduced headcount was due to the expected heat, which did not disappoint. The challenges of the ‘split line’ coordination were greatly reduced by the radios that repo4sale (John) brought. Thank you repo! As usual the plates were full between the burgers, links, carne asada and the 30+ pounds of soy marinated chicken. I was unable to bring the CGSSA trailer, so my BBQ was missing and there was a shortage of table space and shade at the cooking area, but as usual with the help of our community we made it a success. Thanks to crazychinaman and the others who performed the cooking chores.
Repo4sale, and RFBIII once again ‘stepped up’ for the RSO duties. Thanks for their hard work and help.
Note: additional RSO’s will be needed at future events on the East 1 range, due to the divided line challenges. So folks, please volunteer to help!
Our three raffle prize winners were, BlueCrash (Paul K.), RFBIII (Bob B.), and crazychinaman (Albert F.). Thanks again to our sponsor, Gun Effects, for the raffle. Visit their new store at 15313 Gale Ave., Industry, (626) 333-7097, and mention you are with Calguns. Reminder: Retain the non-winning raffle tickets as they will be used, for those who attend, during the quarterly Grand Prize drawing in September.
Many began calling for a day early, so our final cease fire was around 2:15. Thanks to everyone for coming and special thanks for all those who helped make the event a success. Sorry, I took no pictures.
See you next month.
